Attending OPET’s Annual Dealer Event 2023 for the Marmara Region (including Istanbul) on May 5-7 in Turkey was an extraordinary and highly successful experience that left a profound impact and provided invaluable lessons for life. I had the privilege of joining the event as an invitee and a part of our family petrol station business in Turkey.
OPET, with its remarkable 100-year history, holds an impressive 18.8% market share in Turkey, solidifying its position as the leading player in the fuel sector.
Meeting the owner, general manager, and other regional dealers from OPET was truly a pleasure. It was inspiring to witness firsthand the remarkable efforts they have made to support the earthquake region.
The event provided valuable insights and learnings. One interesting fact I learned is that Opet and Fuchs, the world’s largest independent lubricant company from Germany operating in 50 countries, have been partners since 1966.
Moreover, the weekend spent at the enchanting Mediterranean Sea added an extra touch of magic to the overall experience.
A key takeaway from this event is the reminder of the importance of networking beyond Swiss borders. Building connections and fostering these relationships proved to be instrumental in driving success.
